What Is Evandale Parklands?
Evandale Parklands is a beautiful park situated behind the Gold Coast Arts Centre, right in the centre of Gold Coast City. The park has much to offer, including some amazing views over the Nerang River with the stunning buildings of Surfers Paradise in the background.
Evandale Parklands also features a large lake in the centre, offering a swimming spot that has proven to be popular with the locals. The small sandy beaches at the perimeter are a great place for kids to enjoy the shallower water or to build a sandcastle.
Near the front of the park there are toilets and showers, perfect for washing off after a refreshing swim!
If swimming isn’t your thing, or if you’re simply not in the mood to get wet, Evandale Parklands is also home to a fully fenced, shade sale covered playground for the kids, a sanded volleyball court and a large walking track surrounding the lake where you can spot various birds and animals.
Featured around the 677 meter looped walking track there are also various pieces of artwork on display, as well as free exercise equipment stations if getting fit is on your agenda.
Finally, the park also includes plenty of picnic areas for those who prefer a more relaxing approach, including shaded seating areas with barbecues, as well as several smaller seats at various areas around the walking track, underneath the cover of shady trees – the perfect spot to sit down with a good book!
