What Is Orion Lagoon?
Located right next to Robelle Domain (A huge parklands area, check out our post here!) in Springfield, Orion Lagoon is one of the largest man made public swimming pools in the southern hemisphere.
The world class swimming lagoon features a 50m swimming area that varies in depth up to 1.5m, making it great for swimming laps. Younger children will enjoy the elongated end of the lagoon that has an average depth of 30cm and features fun play areas such as water squirter’s and rubber covered stepping stones.
The lagoon is surrounded by plenty of undercover areas, umbrellas, tables and benches. You’ll also find large grassy areas that are perfect for setting up a picnic blanket.
There are lockers, toilets and change tables for your convenience, as well as a cafe that sells food and drinks between 7:00AM – 6:00PM daily.
