What Is Burleigh Heads Beach?
Often described by locals as the most beautiful beach in the world, Burleigh Heads Beach which is located on the Gold Coast truly does have a lot to offer.
When you first arrive you are greeted by large, beautiful pine trees surrounding the park and playground which are almost worth a blog post of their own!
The beautiful sprawling beaches provide plenty of space to lay out a towel for some sunbathing, or if getting wet is more your thing, the water provides a great place for adults and kids alike to do some splashing. If you’re really keen, the hundreds of surfers who frequent this beach provide testament alone to the brilliant waves that grace the deeper waters.
If you head up the gently sloping hill through the park and playground, you will find plenty of space for picnics that have absolutely stunning views of the surf, over which you can see the sprawling centre of the Gold Coast. Below you will also find rocky areas with plenty of rock pools which are a great place for the kids to explore (with some supervision of course).
If I had to come up with something negative about the place, thing only thing I can think of would be the parking – it gets packed fast! Make sure you turn up early to secure a spot. Finally, just past the hill you will find the entrance to the Burleigh Heads National Park, which leads through stunning forest walks over the mountain towards Tallebudgera Creek.
