What Is Ipswich Nature Centre?
Located right next to Queens Park and Nerima Gardens in Ipswich, the Ipswich Nature Centre is an absolute must if you’re a fan of animals and nature.
The centre is free to enter and includes many different enclosures surrounding the pram-friendly wooden ramps, where you can get right up close to see the animals within.
Within the centre you will discover beautiful ponds and water features, as well as a vast array of native animals including wombats, snakes, emus and kangaroos (amongst many more).
Our favourite part of Ipswich Nature Centre would have to be the large bird aviary. Upon entering the aviary you are greeted with a stunning rainforest display where you can see beautiful birds of every colour.

Another popular part of the centre that we particularly enjoyed is the barn yard section, where you can get right up close to see the animals including bulls, chickens and goats.
