How To Make Smores The Australia Way
S'mores are a classic American treat, but did you know that you can make them just as easily in Australia? All you need is a few simple ingredients and a bit of patience! In this guide, we will walk you through the steps of making smores the Australian way. So what are you waiting for? Let's get started!

What is a smore?

A smore is a classic American campfire treat that consists of a toasted marshmallow and a piece of chocolate sandwiched between two graham crackers. The combination of sweet, sticky, and crunchy ingredients makes for a delicious and addicting snack!

So how do you make smores in Australia?

All you need are some marshmallows, some chocolate, and some graham crackers. Hold on… you’ve heard of graham crackers on TV, right? Pronounced like “GRAMM” crackers. But what are they?

Graham crackers are a type of sweet biscuit that is popular in the United States. They are made from whole wheat flour, sugar, honey, and spices. Graham crackers have a mildly sweet flavor and a slightly crisp texture.

In Australia, you might not be able to find them but from my research, the Arnotts Granita is a perfectly good substitute.

  1. To start, build a small fire in your firepit or light your BBQ. Once the flames have died down and the coals are glowing red, it’s time to start roasting your marshmallows! Stick a skewer through one marshmallow and hold it over the heat. Slowly rotate the marshmallow so that it evenly toasts on all sides.
  2. Once the marshmallow is nice and golden brown, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a few seconds.
  3. Then, sandwich it between two biscuits with a couple of squares of cadbury milk chocolate in the middle. Gently squeeze the biscuits together and pull it all off the skewer.
  4. Dig in.

Now you know how to make smores in Australia so grab some jumbo marshmallows and some chockies and get to roasting! Then once you’ve had one, have s’more! Your taste buds will thank you.
