Frew Park, Milton
"Located in the heart of Milton, Frew Park is a sprawling 3.5-hectare urban parkland that combines its rich tennis heritage with modern recreational facilities. It’s the perfect destination for kids to burn off energy, parents to relax, and families to enjoy a day out together."

What Is Frew Park?

Built on the former site of the Milton Tennis Centre and Milton Bowl, Frew Park pays homage to its roots with unique design features, including the iconic ‘Arena’ playground. This architectural masterpiece blends play and history, with elements inspired by the old tennis court grandstands. The playground is one of Brisbane’s most impressive, offering:
  • Climbing Walls & Ledges: Ideal for adventurous kids ready to tackle new heights.
  • Huge Slides: Perfect for adrenaline-filled fun.
  • An Enclosed Mesh Cage: Suspended a thrilling 8 metres off the ground for a bird’s-eye view of the park.
  • Swings, Balance Beams & Smaller Slides: Perfect for younger children who need safer spaces to play.
The playground’s surfaces range from rubber to concrete, making it safe and versatile for all kinds of activities.

Other Features of Frew Park

Beyond the playground, Frew Park offers plenty to keep everyone entertained:
  • Picnic Areas with BBQs: Relax in the shade while cooking up a feast and keeping an eye on the kids.
  • Basketball Hoop Wall & Ping Pong Table: Don’t forget your own basketball, ping pong balls, and paddles to enjoy these fun activities.
  • Bike & Scooter Paths: Winding footpaths make it easy for kids to ride safely around the park.
  • On-Site Café: Located right next to the playground, the café serves coffee, tea, and snacks. Its balcony provides a perfect spot to sip a drink while supervising the kids.
